GP Data for Planning and Research v2.0.0
Background
NHS Digital is working with GPs, researchers, NHS organisations, patient interest groups and professional bodies to develop a new way to safely collect and store confidential Patient information from GP surgeries for research and planning purposes.
The new service will in time replace the current GPES solution, simplifying and improving current processes and helping to decrease the unplanned demand for services to provide data to end users.
Suppliers solutions will support the standardisation of data collected for planning and research, including ensuring patient data is de-identified (pseudonymised at source) before it leaves the GP practice.
