Summary

Introduction of further Structured Profiles to augment the existing GP Connect Access Record Structured: Medications and Allergies. The remaining profiles will complete the rest of the GP Patient record and are currently planned to include:

  • Immunisation
  • Problem
  • Consultation
  • Patient Identifier
  • Uncategorised (Family History, Procedure, Condition, Observation)
  • Document
  • Referral
  • Flags/Alerts
  • Pathology
  • Test Request
  • Test Result
  • Diary Entry
  • Demographics
  • Appointment
  • GP Summary
  • Care Plan
  • Linkage

Curation of specifications is in progress now and these will be issued iteratively as they become available. All Phase 2 specifications are expected to be available by September 2019.

Curation Plan

Each of the above items will complete the NHS Digital led curation process with all items planned to have completed curation between May 2019 and September 2019. Specifications will be published in an iterative manner between June 2019 and October 2019.

The Effective Date for each specification will be determined by its date of publication, but Effective Dates are expected to fall into three phases:


Phase 1 – All specifications published by June 2019 will have an Effective Date of December 2019.
Phase 2 – All specifications published by September 2019 will have an Effective Date of March 2020.
Phase 3 – All specifications published by December 2019 will have an Effective Date of June 2020.
